Yeah, the 24 mile ride home with a headwind is getting me down. This should speed things up I have long straight stretches along Boeing Field, etc where I’d like to just pedal & let the motor do its thing, instead of having to think about how much is electric and how much is pedal effort.
i want to give this thing a spin when you get it up and rolling.
And don’t forget to pack extra fuses in your tool/patch kit.
curious to see how the alfine holds up under the famous denny tree trunks. also this looks pretty sweet and i too want to give it a go-round.
nice build out! Add me to the list of wanting to ride it around. I’ve had an Alifine 8 on my city bike for the last 3 months, and it’s been money. It has overtaken the cross-check as preferred-ride for anything under 5 miles.
Beefier rims? Halo Freedom Disc – suits me up/off ledges on a hardtail Stan’s ZTR Arch – tubeless? Salsa Gordo – will reall help w cornering
Looks like a good time in any event. Front wheel drive should be entertaining.
Yeah, I was originally going to just put this front wheel on my Jake, so I got a rim narrow enough to work with the cantis. If I run into problems I’ll put some real 29′er rims on there.
So far the front wheel drive is nothing scary on dry pavement. In the rain… we will see!
cruise control on a bicycle?
